New Dlx Rotary Whip Finisher, Fly tying tools, ( FT 23 )

whip finishing made easy

I'd started fly tying with a kit that contained a fixed whip finishing tool. It was such a hassle to use that, eventually I got so frustrated that I ordered this DLX tool. I wish I'd used one right from the start. As soon as I'd practiced with it on one fly then I tied half a dozen more because I enjoyed using it so much.

Aquila Ukulele String - 9U - Nylgut - Concert Low G - Single 4th G String

Blues with a smile on my face

I wanted a low G tuned uke for playing blues on. I had a spare wound C string, put it on an OU2 concert that I had and tuned it to low G. It wasn't too bad but did sound dull. I decided to stop being tight and ordered this proper low G Nylgut. It's made a wonderful difference. It harmonises with the existing Aquila Nylgut strings and is much brighter and crisper. It is very stable, although I do stretch new Uke strings to speed up the process, this string tolerated this and is virtually stable already. It is very smooth and the fact that it is a wound string makes no difference. Recommended.
