COD stays slow
0 of 1 found this helpful The Good: COD finally went back to what it does best: WWII scenarios. Plus, they didn't go to the other campaign before. An interesting look at what WWII may have looked like from a Marine's standpoint, fighting the Japanese foes. You can team up w/ a buddy or more as you work through the game.
The Bad: You still take forever to walk across any field, can't really run across anything w/o running outta breath, which is quite upsetting if you are trying to get to the action and want to cut past the 'story'. COD engine is slow to react and your crosshair setup still takes lots of 'misses' before a hit. Some weapons are simply unrealistic when it comes to firing and stopping power. One .45 round will down a person, try it if you don't believe me.
The ugly: Who came up w/ this storyline, anyway? Seriously, it would have been simpler to create a sci-fi game for that 'marauder' stuff. The game responds poorly to commands and leaves a lot to be desired when it comes to adjusting settings, too. Everything about this game is still just about as slow as the original COD games. FPS games should flow, not crawl.
Final thought: For an FPS game, this one is going to bore you to tears. The servers are pure chaos, you won't be able to make heads and tails of what's going on, unless you have lots of time on your hands and nothing better to do w/ your day. If I were to compare this game with CSS, DoD:S, or TF2, then this game is a sleeper.

Desert Exile
The US is one of only two world powers to send its own citizens to concentration camps, the other major player was Nazi Germany. Japanese-Americans born and raised in the US found themselves being hunted down and humiliated to appease public opinion. Turns out Hitler didn't invent scapegoating after all, it is an American invention. Who'd have known?
