Printer not functioning upon arrival.
1 of 2 found this helpful The printer was dead on arrival and I didn't want to go through the hassle of having to repack it a send it back so I looked up common issues with this printer and luckily many other people reported the issue I was having which was on boot, the top two icon were locked in a solid yellow alert status that wouldn't clear. The solution was to remove the cover, remove the circuit board and bake the board in the oven for 5 minutes at 350 degrees. That worked but it was a lot of work to have to do for a printer that was listed as working and in good condition. FYI, the reason you bake a circuit board is the solder on circuit boards can dry and crack over time. Baked is a temporary fix to resolder the circuits. I would not have purchased this printer had I known how old it was.
Finally, I believe the printer was working when you tested it but it was too fragile and old to hold together during shipping.
