Music of the Spheres - Mike Oldfield

This is Mike Oldfield with a twist. Virtually all instruments are played by Orchestra but the sound is distinctly Oldfield. The first Track "Harbinger" actually harps back to Tubular Bells itself. Hayley Westernra features on two tracks but her voice does not "Drown" the music, rather it enhances it as an additional instrument. It is one of those albums that you will listen to and immediately like just one or two tracks but after a few listens, you will come to appreciate that each track flows into the next and love it as a whole.

A superb example of all that is good in Rock Music...

I had not heard of Alter Bridge until I heard the Title track of this Album on an obscure American Internet Radio Station and I was blown away. There isn't a duff track on the album and it varies from Melodic Ballads through Hard rock and Progressive to Heavy. It makes a change to hear great lyrics, not just the words but the annunciation too and the guitar work is awesome. There are aspects of Bullet for my Vampire through Dream Theater, Extreme and Nickelback and a healthy nod to Mostly Autumn while remaining subtly different. If you like any of the above, then this album will impress you. I have since bought Alter Bridge 3 and although it is good, this Album is far better. I recommend it ... treat your ears!

Sevylor RB2500G Pump

The Sevylor RB2500G Pump is robust and has great pressure and is more efficient than the footpump it replaced for my Kayak. It is sturdy enough not to move around when you are using it. I paid less than £20 new and I think that is great value for money.
