Awesome Next Gen Retro Romp
This game brings me back to the good old days of gaming, just tearing up bad guys (in this case quite literally), running around super fast and carrying every weapon under the sun. The story is perfectly adequate but it's all about going to hell and destroying your enemies, and it doesn't shy away from what it truly is: an arcade shooter. It seems to have real heart and character, like the developers understand what we've all missed for the last decade.
If only it were a true old school experience and didn't have to update before playing. That's my only gripe with this game, and it's totally gone as soon as you start playing and the heavy metal kicks in.
