Warm but weak
The preamp performs as advertised. The amp does not work without the tubes so apparently the circuit will only be completed with the tubes inserted. The sound is warm and mellow - maybe too mellow. I have to turn the volume control on the pre-amp to the maximum in order to get decent volume on my system which includes an Outlaw Amp and Integrated Amp with Focal bookshelf speakers.

Delivers as promised
I used this to attach my old technics turntable to a Monster 975 preamp and how good the sound was. Light years better than the home theatre receiver with the built-in phono inputs it was previously plugged into. I’m listening to vinyl music the way it was before everything went digital and it sounds fantastic.
