Nice radiant heat, compact, easy to ignite.
1 of 1 found this helpful This is my third ProCom heater. It's the best one because of the radiant heat element. The other two -also effective and still in use- have a visible flame and are very nice. But this is my favourite. :) The radiant heat is beautiful.

good supplemental heat
A nice little propane heater but since it has no thermostat be prepared for either too much heat, or too little. Not sure why ProCom would make a heater that cannot self regulate but I suppose there are some applications where occupants never leave the space they are in so they can turn the heat to high or low as the interior temperature changes. This heater would probably be best as a supplement to another heat source that is thermostatically controlled so that the highs and lows can be tempered by the thermostat turning the heat on and off. Unfortunately the control dial on mine tends to jam a little so I'm hoping it doesn't need replacement soon. Otherwise it functions as advertised.

with reservations
Unless the sun is full glare the blades won't spin. At a certain level of radiance the fan motor starts to hum and if that radiance is not enough it won't actually turn the blades. This may not matter when the fan is for an attic. If your fan is directly into the space you're using the hum on a partially cloudy day may be distracting. Otherwise it's a nice little unit.
