Excellent. What I was looking for.
I wouldn't call this "shockproof" by any stretch of the imagination -iIn fact, just the opposite. However, I was looking for an old-style thin filter case or "wallet" that would fit neatly in my camera case without taking up too much room. Since I will use it inside a camera case, having a gigantic, "shockproof" filter case is entirely unnecessary and quite impractical. This is exactly what I wanted. Many of the modern "heavy duty nylon" cases are built like the US Army is going to strap them on their backbacks or on the side of a HummVee... This is a case that will store your filters in a thin case, with good internal soft non-scratch lining. It's still a bit bigger than the old-style plastic filter cases, but it does nicely. And the price is unbelievable! I recommend it. They didn't give dimensions so I'll give it here. With filters it is: 5" wide x 8.5" long x (approx.) 1" thick or 12cm wide x 22cm long x 2cm thick.

Excellent compact camera with a large sensor with full manual controls and a hot shoe
2 of 2 found this helpful This compact camera has full manual control, a hot shoe, an adjustable flip-out LCD screen (not a 360˚ rotating screen) and importantly, a hot shoe and a large 1.5" sensor that you just don't find in most "compact class" cameras, and definitely not in the "point-and-shoot" small cameras. It is very versatile, takes excellent quality photographs. (The slightly newer G1-X Mark III is rather a different camera with different characteristics.) There are several adaptors you can buy for this camera, including an electronic viewfinder, and an adapter to allow use of filters. As a travel camera (such as on business trips or casual outings,) this is an excellent compromise between not being able to take a large DSLR and having to take a crappy little point-and-shoot (which is STILl better than an iPhone) and still be confident that the quality of your images will be pretty good (but not, of course, as good as a full-frame DLSR.) It also takes video, the quality of which is better than an iPhone. It takes external plug in devices via USB and sync cables. The battery life is excellent.
