Simple - works
This remote has no extra bells and whistles, only what is needed to perform the tasks of the tuner/amp. The buttons are arranged so that the button positions are easily memorized for easy operation.

The old pot retires.
I finally determined that my old coffee pot was the problem I was experiencing with my morning coffee and not the brand coffee I was using. It seems that the "old pot" just wasn't holding the water in the brew basket long enough for the coffee to brew. This resulted in something akin to nothing more than mildly coffee flavored hot water. Increasing the amount of coffee to water ratio only resulted in a more bitter hot water concoction and not the full bodied brew that I was expecting. With the thought of replacing the "old pot" with a new one, I started my research. Now I am not a coffee gourmand but, I do know what I like my coffee to taste like (yes, with cream and sugar added). The info that has to be sifted through to get to the important features is mind numbing. There are so many brands with so many models in so many colors with so many features that it is virtually impossible to choose. This brand has a solid reputation for quality products so this was a start. I thought the "grind and brew" feature might be a nice addition and I could always return to the pre ground application if this feature didn't work out. I read the instructions - converted their measurements to my utensils filled the pot and punched the "ON" button. 10 minutes later I was enjoying the cup of coffee that I was hoping for. When researching all of the brands, it is important to know what you want your appliance to do and what features are important to achieving those results. The other "bells and whistles" are usually costly, confusing, and in some cases have no bearing on the original purpose of the appliance. Does your coffee pot really need to have a radio built in? Didn't think so. To sum up my review - this machine makes a very good cup of coffe from either whole bean or pre-ground, keeps it hot after brewing and will start all on it's own (once programmed). What's not to like?
