Olympus E-500 8.0 Megapixel Kit
9 of 9 found this helpful This is my first digital SLR camera. Going from a digital point and shoot to a SLR was a little daunting, but the results are worth it. When the camera first arrived,I was overwhelmed by the functions and features on the camera, so I bid on and won an instructional video off Ebay to better understand the functions.
If this is your first time with an advanced camera, I highly recommend some type of guide. It explained all of the features, simple and advanced, and gave examples of when to change settings on these features. This camera takes both XD cards and compact flash, which is a plus if you have some of these from previous cameras. This camera takes stunning pictures, and with the education I received from the training video, I can now adjust for difficult lighting or exposure issues that I never could get right with an automatic point and shoot.
My only complaint on this camera is that you do not have a live view feature. In other words, you can not compose your picture on the view screen before taking the shot. You must use the viewfinder. With features like exposure bracketing and zero cost developing to see your results, this is a minor issue, but I did get used to having that feature in my point and shoot.
In conclusion, I would definately recommend this camera to anyone wanting to step up to a semi-professional level digital SLR without the $1000 plus dollar price tag. If your not familiar with the operation of advanced features, the addition of a video guide can be invaluable.

High performance in crossfire mode, quiet and they run cool!
Bought a pair of these to replace two EVGA 8800 GTS SSC cards running SLI. The 8800s were doing fine other than not being able to run the latest directX, but thought it was time for an upgrade. I was looking for the best bang for the buck upgrade and after a lot of research, I decided on the XFX HD 5770s to run in crossfire mode. After installing I noticed almost 30FPS improvement in Crysis, they were quiter and my internal temperatures dropped by a third in my case. For someone wanting higher end graphics on a budget, you can not go wrong with the XFX ATI Radeon HD 5770 card, especially when you get two!

Comfortable and excellent audio quality!

Wasn't sure about a refurbished product for headphones, but I couldn't tell these were refurbished as they were undistinguishable from new headphones. The microphone tucking away while not in use is perfect to protect them from damage while handling headphones. Volume control on the headset works great, as well as having a couple of other buttons for various functions. Works via USB or headphone jack for compatibility with computers, game consoles, mp3 players and phones.
