Not Just a Novelty

I purchased these to have the convenience of an erasable ball point pen with the added quality of not causing paper damage if erasure was necessary. Quite a find. I also found that these write amazingly well. The ink flows smoothly and evenly with no drag. This also has the added benefit of helping my poor handwriting from not being so bad. I enjoy writing with the new FriXion pens so much I have to be careful to not pick one up when I write a check. That's their only weakness.

This Does the Job!

The product is exactly as advertised. The specifications are what MacTracker says should be used in my mid-2009 MacBook Pro. Being an older computer the RAM upgrade is very affordable. Most options for this spec on eBay are used pieces. This is brand name pre-packaged for my particular use and at a very small difference in price, a no-brainer! I have used the computer for several days now and can feel that it operates more fluidly with a full compliment of RAM. Virtual memory is part of the Unix operating system; therefore, macOS has it as a fundamental part. Having more working memory reduces page-outs. By doubling the Mac's RAM from the basic 4GB to 8GB reduces page-outs to less than half of what it was before. That's why more fluidity. No, it doesn't make the Mac all of a sudden seem super fast. It just operates more smoothly. I'm sure that increases throughput, but I can't quantify it. I just know if I keep my Mac happy it will keep me happy. It's a small investment.

A Particularly Good Writing Pen

This is really a nice ballpoint pen. I really like the way it writes. This ink flows smoothly. The ball roll well. It is particularly easy for me to write with. Besides being a great pen to write with, it is the first ballpoint that is easy to erase with too. Just be careful to not write any checks with it.
