Difficult to install

I ordered this and the 3M Scotchgard Rear Bumper application for my 2017 Chrysler Pacifica. The bumper went on without a hitch for which I tackled first. Full of confidence, I thought I could tackle the door cups. To my surprise, no matter what I used for the application (50/50 water, alcohol or just water and soap), I could not get these to stick all the way. It is like the door cups are not meant for the curvature of the actual door. The product is great quality though!
