$ for $, as good as a modern Fender amp, in this price range.
For the money, this is a great all around amp - for practice or gigging smaller venues. Put a few bucks into it, & it's a jewell. Re-tube it with JJ's or something comparable, & ditch the stock Peavey speaker for almost anything else, & you've got a great amp that rivals any Fender in the same price range. So far, I don't care for the dirty channel, but I understand the "Blue Mod" will vastly improve that. Google it - it's on my to-do list. As of now, it takes pedals great, so I just use my ZenDrive when I want some snarl. Even better is the head version of this amp, but very hard to find. If you spot one on eBay, immediately click "Buy it now" - it will be gone quickly. I use one plugged into a cab with a 15" Weber FerroMax - sounds better than my beloved Peavey Delta Blues 15, and WAY easier to lug around!

How'd they pack so much punch into such a tiny package?!
I've been using modded Classic 30's for years - combos & heads. One thing I don't like about them is they are 16 ohm, so your speaker choices can be limited. The Classic 20 solves that, & lots more. Switchable from 4, 8, or 16 ohms - I can use it with any of my cabs now. I mainly use it with a tweed open back CraigsList cab, loaded with a 15" Weber Ferromax - the bottom end is to die for with a Tele or Les Paul Jr! And you can't beat the tone of a tube amp! The size is perfect for most of the venues I play at - so damn easy to carry up a flight of stairs, or throw on the front seat of my car! And the drive channel actually sounds better & is more useable than the Classic 30 - really no mods needed. A channel footswitch would sure be nice, but I guess they ran out of space. I am anxious to see what a tube upgrade will sound like too. And the XLR out is great - soundmen love it! I do wish you could adjust the level, though. The digital reverb sounds pretty dang good too. If it got stolen, I'd sell something & buy another in a heartbeat - worth every penny!

Poor man's Gibson!
Bought one at great price, just cuz I thought it looked cool, & is way cheaper than a Gibson! Turns out, it's EXTREMELY well made & plays fantastic. And I love love love the 50's Gibson neck profile - that's really the only Gibson neck that works for my long, gangly fingers. However, after seeing myself in the mirror with it hanging around my neck, I'm not sure I'm brave enough to take the stage with it, playing in cajun/zydeco/New Orleans boogie bands! But I do love playing it, & the Korina looks beautiful.
