Check White Wall before install
I got the tire installed with the protective blue coating on the white wall to protect it from dirt and grime during the installation. After installation I cleaned the protective coating off only to find the white wall was not smooth and had blemished rough patches on about half the tire. It looks terrible.I contacted Chaparral Motorsports to notify them of inconsistencies and they said the only way to warranty it was to drill and hole through it and Shinko would send a new tire. So I paid to have it installed on my bike and the only way they are saying to make it right is to now have to take it off, drill a hole in the tire and then have to pay to have the tire installed again. So I’d have to pay 3x what I originally paid to have this blemished tire fixed. Not worth the aggravation, time and money. Some other comments on Facebook groups also noticed inconsistencies with Chapparal tires as well. Be careful to inspect the tires or else you’ll be SOL. Sad that Chapparal supports its suppliers over its customers.
