Quiets doors and drawers.
These bumpers are hex shaped and have some thickness (about 3/32”) and cushion doors and drawers nicely.

Does the job
It took a lot of patience to get it to fit my old Homelite XL-12 because it's stiff rubber and is hard to get it through the holes it has to go through and the nipple it has to fit over but I was successful and it works. I had to remove some rubber at the fuel tank entrance and lubricate it to get it to seat. I used a dremel tool to remove rubber at the carb nipple and then cleaned it up so find bits of rubber wouldn't get into the carb. Shouldn't have to mess with it for another 50 years.
