Inexpensive speed.
This cpu was used for my first 775 to 771 mod. Used on Foxconn board with G31 chipset. In order for the modded 771 cpu to work on the 775 board, the Xeon micro code had to be added to bios.rom file to make the proper bios update. The 771 gives more bang for buck, than a Core 2 Quad.
Works like a champ.
