You get what you pay for
Cheap and cheerful, but there's no way I 'd say they were thick.

Not as good as the ancient Halfords one that it replaced.
1 of 1 found this helpful When looking for a new pump I became of concern voiced by purchasers of other such pumps regarding product quality. It's early days yet, but this seems to be ok - in fact I bought it as have had a number of different Draper tools and it seems a reasonable brand. I'd not recommend it in the first instance because of the inaccuracy of the pressure gauge. My old one had a accurate gauge, and although there is a warning printed on this pump that the gauge reading should't be relied on, my thought is , then why bother fitting one? As I now have to check the readings with a separate accurate ('pencil') gauge, it makes the process more tedious, and I'll end up having to buy a replacement separate gauge as to use my existing one means having to remove the wheel trims; the rubber tube from the tyre to the valve is otherwise not long enough to provide room for proper fitting...............

'It does what it says on the can'
. I have some hozelock products and they are imho way better quality than this; equally the customer pays several times as much for what is functionally the same product. The key difference in my experience is that products like the present day Gardena use a plastic that it much less weather resistant and becomes brittle after a while. I felt that for this connector which has no 'moving parts' the lower spec. would suffice. Only time will tell if I'm right!
