It has a flaw
It has a design flaw. It can be cured if you have some blocks of maple. The handle is designed so that it stops when it hits the top of the slats. That is not far enough to get the rest of the juice from the apples. I was using apples to make apple juice. It is the same with any fruit, however. More wooden blocks need to be included so that the handle can go all the way to the bottom.

It honestly could be worse.
This is a story that has been on my favorites list for awhile. It is a great way to be reminded that, indeed, things could be worse. In fact, if you had to live under the conditions that the poor misfortunate man, center of the story, lived under, you would also be upset. However, the man learns that his original circumstances were peaceful and happy when compared to the upheaval of the barnyard being inside his humble home.

Thanks for the book. It was received in good shape and was all I hoped for.
