It works. Last one came with the HR 5th wheel and lasted 14 years. Trusting this one to last just as long.

Good Replacement

I did not try without a filter but I believe that would be a mess to clean. Bought it to replace a different brand in my 5th wheel RV that had a carafe break.

Quality and Value

I purchased this for two reasons. 1. To block the sunlight coming in thru the skylight and 2. to insulate the ceiling skylight. Excellent performance for both reasons. No light is coming into the RV thru that vent and this is good for early morning sunlight blocking when more rest is needed. And winter camping without the insulation allows a lot of cold to enter thru the vent. This increases the R-value and helps with maintaining heat during the winter. Have not used this during the summer but I do expect the foil backing to reflect heat and help make the AC work better in the hot summer.
