Rich, bright, well done, clean!
This stained glass panel of birds is far more gorgeous in real life than listed. I wasn't sure I would like it as much as I do. When you see it before your eyes, in a window the colors are very rich like an oil painting. Also, the pieces of glass used in it are more beautiful than you see in the listing...for example, one of the opaque pieces of glass has a opal sheen to it reflecting pastel rainbows on the surface...the light green, & light blue pieces of glass are textured, and you can see streaks of mixed colors, blues, greens throughout. My husband and I thin it's as breathtaking as it is "cute". It was the best value for something of this size too. The dark frame & hooks are beautiful and I prefer this elegant sophisticated look to the silver-y trim so many stained glass makers use. Also, we really wanted something that would let the light into our dining room...so this panel with it's "clear glass" was exactly what we were looking for...at the same time we feel we have more privacy from the neighbors. Something so small has transformed our dining room. The jewels used in the birds eyes really pop out with contrast, which defines the birds with definition. Last: I appreciate a stained glass in a clean rectangle panel which is easy to clean off. (I don't like stained glass in 3-D form, or floating shapes -- complex to clean). We love it!
Regarding the photo: we have not hung the stained glass yet, and this photo also does not do it justice (haha) I should have shot it in the morning when the sun came in...or in late afternoon when the sun reflects (and blinds us) off of the building across the way...

Beautiful blanket. Quality of fabric is questionable, I don't believe the print side is really 100% cotton.
I'm on the fence with this blanket. It's beautiful, yes. The quality though is o.k. It seems back in the old days quilts and blankets had a quality of cotton that was substantial, felt like cotton, had a weight to it... This blanket is beautiful, but I have to wonder if it's really 100% cotton, or if the manufacture got mis-marked product/fabric. (it really seems more like 50/50 poly/cotton). Here's why: it's lighter than cotton, it's got a lightweight thin, slightly rough feel to it... and it doesn't lay down flat like cotton does...it has a puffiness to it, wrinkles differently, having lived with the blanket now for over a week, it seems to look less and less nice... the fabric holds it's shape differently than any other cotton quilt I have ever had. I'm kind of disappointed. I wish that it was 100% cotton on the print side...but I really do not believe that it is.
