aftermarket replacement

This item looks great, appears to be a quality product but I have worked a solid week trying to wire it into my car without any success. The wiring schematic that came with the product did not work for a 1970 VW Bug. I can make the motor run but not with the wiper switch. The old original equipment motor still worked but one of the two speeds went out. This item does not appear to be a suitable replacement for a 70 VW or the wiring schematic needs to be replaced.
