I bought this device to carry with me on the boat and other recreational vehicles. I have run through the menus with the quick start guide only. I know everything I need operate it already. I will be fishing on the Missouri River this summer, in areas where the water is vast. So, I will use the Garmin to plot my course from the dock locations. There is even some recommended fishing time information I was not expecting. The Garmin's small size will allow me to include it in my saddle bags on motorcycle rides also. I have only had it a enough hours to test drive it, but my initial impression of the Legend is very, very good.
Maybe my internet underperforms? Not sure. Both Wired with these devices and wireless to my blue ray player did not help Netflix play any better. I’ll be trying other solutions and other Netflix apps to find the problem.

Simple install, electric power required, physically large drive.
I plugged it into a server, and it worked. If you can plug in a USB cable and power cord, you can use this device. It has only been in place a few days, so I can not speak about the long-term usage or durability. It was larger than I first imagined it would be, because it takes up about double the space that the 1TB external Seagates I require. The 1TB drives were also powered via USB, whereas these 500GB drives require electrical power and USB. Overall, so far, so good.
