Lovely ME. Lovely Jacqueline Susann

Well written biography of the flamboyant,intriguing and sometimes troubled Jacqueline Susann. The biography is as interesting as Ms. Susann's novels, ie Valley of the Dolls. The author writes a detailed, accurate, sympathetic, yet very readable account of JS's life. Very well researched, covers her family background, up & down career, loves (and often hates!). Great details - ie Jackie was almost a victim of the Manson clan, (yet cancelled her plans at the last minute) with Sharon Tate on the night of the murders. The closeted details of her autistic son; the eventually fatal breast cancer she hid even from her friends, her obsession with Ethel Merman - it's all there.
