After learning the controls, this is a fun and easy way to have a go at amateur game publishing on Switch.
MV for the Switch is an excellent, if far less expansive version of the same software for the PC. The controls on Switch are good once you get the hang of them, the interface, even with the small print, is easy to use, and after a brief get-to-know-you period, this software offers you the same thing it has offered for years in other forms - the opportunity to publish your own game for other people to play.
In spite of the lack of all of the incredible expansion and plugins that you can get for the PC version of RMMV, the Switch gives you the opportunity to put your game in the hands of basically anyone else who has a Switch - this is easier said than done, thanks to the clunky game search features of the game sharing and uploading piece of this software, but the people who take the time to get their name out there online seem to be getting a lot of traffic to their games, which is really cool - it's exactly why this product exists. If you're interested in giving amateur publishing a go and like 2d RPGs (or really anything that is 2d rpg adjacent) this is the product for you.
