Great build quality
This is an extremely well built watch. The finished product on the bracelet is very heavy on the wrist. The watch case and bracelet have very solid stainless steel components and appear to offer a durable and attractive package. The only issue for me is readability at a quick glance. This is entirely a personal preference but when seconds count, I need a reading quickly and it takes me a little effort to discern the current time with the minute and hour hand design. The hands are a framed configuration and seem to get a little lost in complications when determining the current time. My preference would be a solid body hand design. If the hands were solid, there is no doubt, this would be my daily watch for any situation.

A Workhorse Watch in an Attractive Style
I am a big fan of the MTGS1000 line of casio watches. While Casio has taken a big leap in price-point into the realm of luxury watches with many of the offerings in this line, there are many very useful functions not found in other luxury brands. The primary market for this watch is men who don't mind a large case and prominent stature. This watch maintains the sport functionality that Casio has built into their brand but dives into a line that can pass muster in daily wear, either at play or at work. Some finishes and colors remain primarily in the outdoor sports and adventure arena yet some of the stainless steel finishes offer a dressier appeal. With atomic timekeeping, solar recharge, alarm, chronograph, timer and stopwatch, this is a "set it and forget it for life" timepiece. The material on the underside of the band and case provide an excellent feel on the wrist and also offer a "silencer" of the link movement. This provides added stealth, whether you are stalking bad guys in a tactical maneuver or avoiding disturbing your wife as you slip it off to the nightstand for a late bedtime. All in all, this is a terrific everyday watch with a ton of functionality in an attractive package.

The most versatile timepiece I own, hands down!

I have over ten watches ranging from $300 to $4000 in value and this watch rarely accompanies the rest of the collection in my watch case. Visibility is unmatched in daytime and at night with the brightest backlight I have ever seen. I never have to think twice about accuracy or power as both are a foregone conclusion. Whether I am simply making a quick glance for the time, using the countdown timer, stopwatch, alarm or just needing a durable companion as I tackle the elements, this is my favorite watch. The fit is large and commands my attention while still being very light and comfortable. It is suitable for most office attire as well. The Carbon reinforced band offers peace of mind that even the most extreme activities will prevent the watch from leaving my wrist. I wear it surfing, flying, during construction and excavation activities, hiking and camping or even just lounging. I would venture to say that this watch would even be my first choice if I had to pick one timepiece for survival or special forces needs. Forget smartwatches and pseudo military issue models...this will give you all the smarts you really need and take a beating in the process.
