Great regulator at a great price. Very heavy duty.

Used this to replace a similar one made by Ingersoll-Rand. The IR made a whistling/howl when air flowed through it above 150psi. This one is dead silent, how it should be.

Good value for the price

It is definitely fire resistant. It is not soft since I believe it is acrylic soaked, so it wants to stay circular instead of collapsing under it's own weight. Wall thickness is thin, maybe 0.015" or so. It will stand up to some heat that's for sure. Won't find a better deal for the dollar.

Soapstone holder

I like how the back-cap threads in and presses down and makes the collet at the other end tighten up and hold the soapstone in place. I like this much better than the type where you loosen the "writing" end to bring out the soapstone then tighten it back up to hold it.
