Mid 2010 Mac Pro Upgrade
6 of 6 found this helpful I bought this processor to upgrade a Mid 2010 Mac Pro from a 3.2GHz Quad Core processor to this 3.46GHz Six Core processor. The upgrade took about 15 minutes to perform. I also have a 2TB Samsung 850 EVO SSD on a Sonnet Tempo PCIe card. I also upgraded my RAM from PC8500 to PC10600. My Geekbench 3 score with the quad was 2422 for single core and 9596 for multi core. After the processor upgrade, my Geekbench 3 score was 2840 for single and 16165 for multi. I definitely see a performance increase. I recommend this product to anyone that wants to extend their performance life on a Mid 2010 Mac Pro Quad Core machine.
