Great Deal
Quality name brand product at a killer price, what's not to like?

Won't work with my new Carrier ductless system.
Couldn't get it to program to my new Carrier split unit no matter how hard I tried. I tried every Carrier code and also allowed it to do the auto-search. Occasionally, it would hit on a code where a few buttons would work, but many functions, including power off, I never got to work. Since the unit works perfectly with the factory remote, clearly it's not my system.

Good price, lots of rejects, suspect quality
1 of 1 found this helpful These were available at a good price and fit an application that I had. However, after using about a dozen, I had several that were bad. I then decided to put together a little tester and test a larger lot of them. Out of 50, I have seven bad ones! That's a 15% failure rate! The failures are all over the map, doesn't actuate, one contact doesn't work, etc.
These are good for a hobbyist perhaps, but don't actually build anything that needs to be reliable with them!
An observation, the finish work on these varies, some aren't completely potted correctly, etc. You can see that in the pictures. I suspect these are factory rejects if I had to guess, they're certainly not "first quality".
They come packed in little bags of 10 relays, and of course with no protection, the leads are bent all over the place. The first task is to dump them out and straighten the leads before you can do anything with them. The last picture shows a typical lot, actually better than many of the lots I unpacked.
