It lost its charge quickly and in some cases it just shut down. I am using the old one and just keeping it on the charger alot.

The power supply worked and that was the...

The power supply worked and that was the part I needed. The dock itself was defective and not usable. I was able to use the power supply on my other Vantec dock.

1st one sent was faulty

The first one they sent me was faulty and was not checked for quality. Ordered another and it took them a week to deliver and they took their time refunding me. They don't pay a lot of attention to detail.
