Lots of Sound, not lot of accuracy. Fun Factor 100%
1 of 1 found this helpful Not very accurate. Once you are sighted in, shoot high and to the left. Leaves a great big hole in a paper target.
The best thing these are for, is the great sound they make. Load them into a 1200 FPS Nitro Piston, and they give a satisfying POW. Load them BACKWARDS into a Nitro Piston rifle, and KA_POW!
If you're looking for accuracy, look elsewhere.
If you're looking for plinking fun, and the best SOUND from your rifle or pistol, you'll love it.

Easy to get decent shots even for beginners
1 of 1 found this helpful This is about my favorite grab 'n go camera. It is small light, easy to use. The menus are not daunting, and easily navigated. It has Live View that is nice and bright and give a great idea of what the shot will look like. A beginner can master this camera quickly, an experienced photographer will get great shots with little effort.
The stumbling points: white balance can be tricky, and AUTO does not always do the best job. However, red and green levels can be changed rapidly from the menu if you have it set on the back display, and bracketing +-3 will get the right balance, albeit using 9 shots to do so. Of course, shooting RAW and then using good software does away with this.
It does not do well on sunsets. It just can't get the colors right, so for shooting sunsets I grab an older Nikon D70. This camera does well with street scenes, photographing people, getting some action shots (don't expect to do fast moving sports indoors), wildlife and general photography.
another caveat: this camera uses 4/3 lenses...NOT Micro 4/3, and lenses can be hard to find and expensive. I have a Sigma 28-180 zoom that turns this camera into one of the best point and shoots I ever had, and for a fraction of the cost of a similar quality Bridge camera. I bought the first one for $45 with damage to the flash, so flash shots are out. This is my mule. I liked it so much I bought another one for a bit more, with the official kit lenses. I like THAT one so much I decided to get the first one fixed (Olympus charges $125 to fix any issue with this model). Unfortunately I procrastinated, and Olympus no longer repairs this model. So I got ANOTHER one, complete kit again for $179 with a very low shutter count, and both kit lenses, battery and charger.
If you want a quick, easy to use camera the Olympus E510, E520 and E620 are very forgiving cameras, are inexpensive and come very close to rivaling shots from a Nikon D2 under good conditions.
For now, Olympus is still repairing the E520 and the E6XX series, for $130-160.

I would definitely buy another. In fact I bought one for my Nikon
I was looking for one of these because I have a Tamron 28-200 that stopped focusing properly. I have a Sigma 70-300 that is very good, so I figured I'd replace the Tamron with a Sigma.
Good choice. Most reviews of this item complain about Lens Creep, but I find that to be minimal, much less than other similar lenses.
The focusing is very good on my Pentax K-r, which is known to have focusing problems, but this lens works nicely with the Pentax focusing.
The ONLY negative is that it zooms backwards from most lenses. Would have been 5 stars but this is an inexpensive, all purpose lens and as such it does have some limitations, but people looking at your photos probably won't notice them. For the price these lenses are selling for now, you're not going to be wrong getting one.
