48V 1000 Watt kit with 26 amp controller
1 of 1 found this helpful Good smooth power, quiet, top speed for me was 35 mph with a 48V 20ah lithium battery on a flat, maybe faster with a lighter rider. Has enough torque to climb most hills without peddling, I weight about 210-215lbs. I had to make some changes to make everything work, like changing to a 6-speed free wheel instead of the 7-speed free wheel that came with the wheel. After several 25-30 mile rides in about 2.5-3 hours still plenty of battery left about 2/3. The cadence sensor or pedalec that came with the kit, working along with the smooth powerful motor is a plus. It has a throttle over-ride function that working along with the motor or throttle has 5 pedal assist levels and works just fine, and it can be set on the LCD screen of the speedometer. It can climb the steepest hills if it needed to. I climbed some hills to see what It would do and the throttle over-ride is like someone pushing you up the hill from the back. The motor just kicks in and takes over. I think if I wanted I could probably get close to 100 miles on a full charge using both the throttle along with the pedalec to extend the range. I had to re-adjust my derailer on the rear wheel and move it over to the right so that the chain wouldn't rub the wheel because of the change from a 7-speed free wheel to a six-speed but other than that I've put close to 500 miles on my bike and love it! Well worth the money spent.
