Best marshall bang for buck

Mildly crunchy tone- somewhere between my early and later Marshalls.the ‘tilt’ control is obviously just an adjustable ‘ bright’ switch -but that’s exactly what this amp needs since the volume control ( with boost switch) will be used over its ENTIRE range, and really need to trim treble up and down at the front of the circuit. Came with matched JJ EL34’s and selected/balanced JJ preamp tubes. Yes, early plexi Jtm has a better blues-rock sound, JCM 800’s have more overdrive/distortion that holds together slightly better- but this will cover both fairly well -for $500 bucks! I’m buying another in the combo cab. But that’s just me.

why Q3's are the bomb.
when these came out I got one 'o the very first sets and WEIGHED THEM, along with a set of new Pirellis and michiclins and Dunlop q2 -
bottom line is that q3's were lighter than the other brands, and nearly THREE POUNDS lighter than the old Dunlop Q2's.....that light weight makes more difference than anything brand of tire, even more than changing to magnesium wheels (the tire weight savings is all at the outermost diameter of the wheel -where it make the most difference.)
(maybe Dunlop didn't brag about the reduced weight because they were still selling Q2's at the time, and the q2's were heavier than other brands),,but anyway, Q3's are just as effective an improvement in handling/turning-in as a set of $3,000 rims.
these and others w dual compound rubber are getting lower miles than q2's- I get 2,000 rr and 3,000 fr.

THE BEST. MORE ACCURATE, (THE CHINESE VERSIONS ON EBAY HAVE LARGE, EASY TO SEE LED DISPLAY, BUT THEIR VOLTAGE READINGS ARE WAY OFF!)
BETTER QUALITY. RUBBERIZED HOUSING. IT'S TRUE THAT THE SMALL, UN-ILLUMINATED, DISPLAY ON THIS IS OFTEN TRUELY HARD TO SEE,- BUT IT ALSO HAS THE 3 red/yellow/green LED'S TO GIVE INSTANT GOOD/OK/BAD INDICATION, EVEN IN TOTAL DARKNESS......THE AUTO SHUTOFF FEATURE TURNS OFF EVERY 20 SECONDS BUT IT RE-STARTS EASILY WITH THE PUSHBUTTON.
