Louder than I expected

I had heard that this lens was fairly noisy but I didn’t expect it to make a racket, both the IS and focusing. Seems sharp though so will suffice until I can upgrade.

Part I needed works like a charm.

This camera was sold "for parts" and I needed a part that it had, and have successfully transplanted that part. (The latch on for the film cover door, which is a known-weakness of the Elan II body). So, camera itself "unreliable", and there was no lens, so "image quality" also a non-issue. But for a very reasonable price I've breathed new life into a body that has been mothballed for five years, so I'm a happy customer.

Canon lens hood

I know it's silly, but I can't bring myself to buy off-brand lens hoods. Happy to have found this Canon lens hood in mint condition for price of a used 3rd party brand hood.
