Charming flowers
Elizabeth Gordon wrote "antique" little poems about flowers and the children they turned into, accompanied by charming little drawings combining the two. My 5-year-old granddaughter loves it. These are garden flowers; another equally charming book has wildflowers. We read them over and over.

Lots of fun outdoor nature activities for elementary school kiddos.
I had it with my children when they were young--using my old copy with my 8-yr-old granddaughter, and bought this out of print book for my 6-yr old granddaughter who loves to go outside and bring in slugs, snails, etc and put them in a terrarium. Lots of fun and simple experiments and activities for kiddos, as well as easy to understand information.
