Does the job
Love the concept and that it was made by the company who made the box, specifically for the box I have. There is a little play in the template which caused the sliding mech to be a bit sticky, but opening up the holes an additional 16th fixed this.

So far so good
Using this to filter water before allowing it to pass through a furnace mounted humidifier. After purging, the water flows crystal clear. Only time will tell if it reduces mineral buildup on the filter wick.
