Worth the money
5 of 6 found this helpful This camera is far better than the built-in camera on my laptop. It was very easy to setup and use. the quality of the video is outstanding. It works extremely well in low lighting or when using direct light. With onboarding processing, I haven't noticed any delay in computer speed while using. I'm so glad I went with this quality camera over the cheap options.

Great option in a mid-range scope
2 of 3 found this helpful After discovering Vortex, I've become a huge fan of their line of scopes. This is the second scope I've bought in the Viper HS series. I can't think of a better option in this price range, especially when you buy one on sale. Their warranty can't be beat, so you have no worries if anything did go wrong. I did have one scope I bought new that had a slight defect. They replaced it immediately with no questions and no fuss. Even sent me a t-shirt and scope covers with the replacement scope!
I own several Nikon (P233, Rimfire, Monarch 3) and Leupold (VX2, VX3) scopes. I'd say the glass on the Viper and Viper HS line is better than my Nikon, and easily as good as the VX2/VX3. Truthfully, I haven't had a situation where I can tell the difference in side by side comparisons of the Viper HS and Leupold scopes. The Viper HS wins out if you want easy adjust turrets, which the Monarch and Leupolds don't have. In comparison, you'd need to move up to the over $1,000 scopes in the Vortex HD series or Leupold to find better glass.
I bought this scope to replace my Nikon Rimfire ($125) on a Volquartsen SS 22LR. The Rimfire was a great scopes for target shooting, but as I've moved back to 100-150 yards in low light, I wanted something with better glass and higher magnification. This scope has been perfect. I'm now shooting about 1.25" 25 shot groups, which is more me than the rifle. I put a simple Leupold VX2 3-9x32 on my Volquartsen Ultralight 22LR because it was 50% lighter, and I didn't need the extended field of view, adjustments, BDC/MOA marks in the Viper HS for offhand plates and squirrels.
If you can pick up this scope or others in the series on sale, I think you'll be very happy.

One of the best upgrades for the Mosin Nagant
If you have a Nagant you want to shoot, this is an amazing upgrade. It dropped in without adjustment or fitting. I'm using this on an Archangel stock, so no modifications for the safety are required. Note, the trigger itself has flat edges, so it may not be as comfortable as rounded blades.
