Cheap Cymbal
0 of 1 found this helpful I purchased the HCS 20" ride cymbal for my son. He's a newer drummer, but started needing something more than the crash he had. This appeared to be a great value for a branded 20" ride.
This arrived well wrapped in multiple layers of bubble wrap and had no damage. After getting it setup on the stand, sound was just OK. Not horrible, but certainly not Turkish bronze either. Good enough for a little kid to learn how to tap a ride, play the bell, and figure how to work it into his playing.
This is an entry level cymbal and we didn't expect anything amazing, but I was hoping for a little better sound. Unfortunately it has a thin sound that isn't very impressive. That said, this was very cheap and it does the job for which it was intended.
