Updated version of the previous Citizen ...
Updated version of the previous Citizen Altichron. The altimeter function is more sensitive. I haven’t checked it against my surveying altimeter, but I will. Just a quick check against my known altitude shows it to be spot on. Will be useful for hiking because it also has a compass function and of course the chronometer for timing activities. Very light weight for its size because of the titanium construction.

Replica moon chronograph by Bulova
4 of 4 found this helpful This is a replica of the one non-Omega (and not owned by NASA) chronograph worn on the moon. The original watch sold at a record price (over US $1 million) at auction and Bulova wisely decided to produce some replicas. However, these watches do not replicate the original entirely - the movement is now a Bulova high-frequency quartz one. As a result, the chronograph "ticks" at 1/2 second intervals and the chronograph has a separate dial for the 1/10 (actually down to 1/20) second intervals. I bought two of these - this model which, with the extra band provided - replicates the look of the type of band used on the lunar version - and the version with the stainless bracelet. The latter one I wear regularly. This version I keep with my collection of space program stuff. I've been very pleased with the timekeeping accuracy and the looks. The only thing I would be interested in learning is how many of this version Bulova intends to make.

A terrific specialty lens
10 of 10 found this helpful This lens is likely not for everyone. However, for the photographer who does a lot of architectural and interior photography, or who likes expansive landscapes, this is a great lens. I compared it at a setting of (close to) 15mm and it equals, or exceeds, the sharpness of my fixed focal length 15mm f3.6 Nikkor, my other favorite for architectural photography. It also beats my fixed focal length (older) 24mm f2.8 manual AIS lens (used in manual mode on my Nikon F4S film and D3x digital camera bodies). The only downside is that it is not a small and lightweight lens, so for casual travel photography, this would be a lot to carry around, especially with one of the larger Nikon digital SLR bodies. There is also minimal barrel distortion that I noted at the 14mm setting. This could be corrected in the various photo manipulation software packages if needed.
