Great memories – All original hit recordings
1 of 1 found this helpful Tommy Roe specialized with lighthearted upbeat pop music in the 60s and early 70s. This terrific CD features many of his popular hits as well as lesser-known hits, many of which are rarely heard on the radio these days. Even if you are not old enough to remember these wonderful tunes, chances are you will fall in love with them. All tracks are the original hit recordings and the audio quality is absolutely top-notch! Nice booklet included too!

A terrific MP3 player!
A true marvel in electronic miniaturization, this full-featured multimedia player can fit in the palm of your hand! It plays MP3 (compressed audio files) and various video formats including MPG4. MP3 and MPG4 are computerized codes that tell the player how to play files. The SONY NWZ A-816 also displays JPEG (pictures). It has a 2” color LCD screen that is bright and clear. Its performance is nothing short of amazing! One simply navigates through simple on-screen menus to find the desired file and then presses ‘PLAY’. Instantly the player plays your file! When used with a quality set of headphones, the audio quality is breathtaking! It features a digital equalizer for customization of audio to suit everyone’s tastes and a host of other adjustment settings including display brightness. It has a clock and displays the date as well. Its controls are intuitive and easy to operate. It has a built-in rechargeable lithium battery that lasts about 30 hours for audio and 15 hours for video. It can be charged by either connecting to the USB port of your PC or by an optional wall charger, which I recommend purchasing as an accessory. The battery charges quickly, usually with two hours. It has a battery level indicator so you won’t be caught short by surprise.
There is no special software needed to download your favorite files to it. When connected to a computer via its supplied USB cable, it appears as a removable drive in Windows Explorer. One simply drags and drops or, as I prefer to do, copies and pastes folders and files to it. Speaking of folders and files, the NWZ A-816 supports folders so one can organize their MP3 audio files. IT DOES NOT support folders for videos. No big deal though, just an observation.
The SONY NWZ A-816 has 4GB of memory. But beware! A small portion of the memory is used by its firmware, which is preloaded programming necessary for the device to function. I caution you because I bought this item to use with an audio book. Though the book was 3.57 GB, it would not fit entirely on the SONY NWZ A-816. It holds more in the neighborhood of 3.5 GB. I could have upgraded to the NWZ A-818, which holds 8GB. But, I ended up getting its predecessor, the SONY NWZ S-618, which has 8GB of memory and is almost identical to the NWZ A-818, but with a couple differences. The SONY NWZ S*** series has an FM tuner! The NWZ A*** series does not. The NWZ S*** series has a slightly smaller screen at 1.8”. Though the screen is slightly smaller on the NWZ S*** series, it looks brighter and clearer. Therefore, I recommend the NWZ S*** series over the NWZ A*** series. Both are outstanding units and I highly recommend them.
