Great investment to anyones cb toys collection.

- Why I bought it: I have a new Stryker 955hp that came with the best stock microphone I have ever used. Of course I was not satisfied so I started asking question over the radio. “Moe”, a cb friend of mine tinkers with cb radio stuff as a hobby had done some research and recommended the Astatic 636l microphone Searching eBay I found many 636l microphones with a wide range of prices. So, me being me I found one with buy now, free shipping and what the hell. I bought my new Astatic 636l. - What I like most about it: The 636l pairs up with my Stryker 955 great. I have many cb friends that tell me without question the 636l makes me sound better than the stock microphone The coiled cored is light and plenty long, the microphone fits my hand very well and the noise canceling is great. The 636l preforms just like a power microphone and enhances the microphone gain control on the 955hp radio. Thanks Moe! - What I dislike about it: The 636l did not pair up as well with my Stryker 490 as well as with my Stryker 955hp. The microphone worked well with both radios but a big difference in swing a voice quality. - Whether or not I would buy the product again: Absolutely! I have the basic black but lots of style options are available. Color, Stars and stripes, wood grain, chrome and many more.

The PL259 connectors ( double male ) is a good product. They fit the coax or equipment 239s snugly and thread up tight. Use them right out of the package. No filing or touch up is necessary.

D 104 Astatic Microphone.

I have used Astatic Mic's since the early seventy's. The quality of sound has been one of the best for my hobby. Lately the PPT components have suffered. Key up & dead key crunch is not the quality I want nor recommend.
