What is this thing?

I don’t know exactly what this thing is or how it works, but it seems to work. I have neuropathy in my toes and I’ve had no luck dealing with the pain (in one toe specifically). I found these toe tubes accidentally waiting in line for my Covid shot. I thought I give them a try. I still use my pain creams and then slide the tube over my toe and I actually can sleep pain free.

Nothing special

I guess I expected more based on what I read about it. The reality is that I don't see a difference from my blue Master chalk at half the price
