Slower than iPad 2 but has way better screen due to the retina.

Feels slower than the iPad 2 but the screen is way better so I can recommend this over the iPad 2. If you already have an iPhone 4, 4S or 5, then any Apple device you purchase will need to have a retina display otherwise it will not meet your visual expectations. Keep this in mind next time you are purchasing any Apple device.
