Jon Cryer OWNS the Subway Improv
As far as memoirs go, this Jon Cryer book is a home run. Cryer's command of the English language is amazing. So is his ability to tell great stories with an intelligent, articulate, comedic flair.
If you expect to read about the Charlie Sheen meltdown, you've got it right here! Jon's candidness and humor come together here to provide a fun read that's almost impossible to put down. It reads smooth and is jam packed with great behind the scenes stories of his life on stage and on screen.
There are hilarious anecdotes about Carol Channing (and a monkey!), Justine Bateman, Charlie Sheen, Ashton Kutcher and more. His natural geek-charm creates a background and provides a perspective that is unique and totally different from any bio I've ever read. He opens up the scars from his childhood and the rips off the bandaids from his adult booboos as well.
I highly recommend this book to fans of Two and a Half Men, (and to anybody who would like to pick up tips on how to interview for acting roles!) Jon discusses the good, bad and ugliness of it all with humor, candor and forthrightness. He doesn't talk down to the reader; he invites him in, serves him tea, and regales him with hilarity and ribald anecdotes. If you read only one book on the life of a TV show star, this is the one you must read!! Huzzah!!
And never forget: the Subway Improv was Jon's!

A super final season to the best part of the Two and a Half Men series before Kutcher killed it.
1 of 1 found this helpful Had to have this final season before Charlie stepped out and unfunny Ashton stepped in. It was not "awesome sauce" as eBay's ridiculous rating would like to be applied; it was thoroughly entertaining, however, and no disappointment for true Two and a Half Men fans. I gave it 5 stars because it deserves it. The characters are just as funny as they were in the first season; The writing just as sharp and witty.
It was good to see Rose return, and the brief appearance of Emilio Estevez as Charlie's buddy from the past. Jon Cryer, of course, was still the anchor of the show, continuing to be the backbone of the cast. Not crazy about Jake's friend, as he was a downer and really the only 'negative' character, providing not much more than an excuse for Jake to become rebellious. All in all, though, I loved the season and am glad to make my series complete (sans the next several, unfunny Kutcher seasons.)
My only wish here is that eBay would remove the silly, immature "awesome sauce" definition of the 5 star rating. C'mon, eBay! Do we really need to accede to "awesome sauce" to define our enjoyment for a product?

Exactly like the original LP
This stage presentation includes all the original music, s/fx, vocals and acting featured in the LP. There is nothing missing from the original, spectacular LP story. Even Richard Burton's voice, with a cgi graphic of his face, has been included. Justin Wayward sings live on stage and Jeff Wayne conducts the orchestra, brilliantly! A truly wonderful visual & audial experience. It's well worth buying a region 2 DVD player if for nothing more than to see this performance...again and again.
