Beautiful Reproduction Super Star Christie
Beautiful reproduction of the famous Super Star Christie from 1977. Good quality soft hair, dress, shoes and accessories are very close to original. Beautiful facial screening, bendable legs, twist n turn waist. Dress is good quality, material is thicker than original but overall good. Boa is longer and not as thick but still very nice. Necklace earrings and ring are just like original. ( I have an original caucasian Super Star with original accessories that I'm comparing her to). Instead of a hair string there are 2 small strips of her hair tied back with a small band. My only caveats are that the stand is a pedestal and not a repro of her star stand. Also like in most recent years mattel has her pinned in with plastic tabs like fort knox. I prefer the simpler bindings used in the 70s or the ribbons used in silkstone doll to secure them. Great if you want to keep in box, a pain if you want to remove. Overall she is a beautiful doll and a great option for those of us who cannot afford an original as those are htf, and can be very expensive in good condition or in box.
