Solid but light weight with great hidden features
I recently purchased a Samson SRK21 21 Unit Universal Rack Stand from Belfield Music.
Belfied delivered promptly and was very helpful when the item went into the Couriers maze for some days.
The SRK21 came in a flat-pack. Comprehensive description and all nuts and bolts very delivered.
Putting it together is self-explanatory, but will come back to it.
The base is solid with well dimensioned casters. The frame is relative light weight and the sturdiness is based on the shape of the metal (for engineers of interest).
What I found , and that could be of interest for SAMSON, is the u-shape of the columns allowing at one u-leg metric screws the other u-leg imperial screws.
I noted that I could use this feature to install my gear “ RESESSED ” into the unit. See picture !!!
This has great advantages as to the protection of all the control knobs. It can be a bit tricky to install the rack units but if you can take off the rack-ears then there is no problem.
This setup also requires the side-panels to be modified which is a bit of a pain ….
However the great advantage is one could put on front and back protective panels for secure transportation without buying expensive flight cases.
Further , I installed LED light strip into the u-shape to get indirect illumination of the gear.
So, all up the SRK21 is a great unit, sturdy and functional and with the mods I did …. well even better.
From a price/performance point of view the SRK21 is great value considering unit with 18 or 14 RU are almost the same price.

Works 100 % to specification and is great value
I needed more input channels. Since I already had the Behringer UMC 404 HD which was working flawlessly I opted for the next up UMC 1820.
Worked out of the box. No driver needed for Linux . When using the unit with Linux you need
"Jack" and the DWA of choice is " Ardour "
What can one say works 100% to specification, is versatile, userfriendly and affordable !!!!!!!

Just colorful and they work fine
If you enjoy a little color ..... get them ..... good value for money ... and play well
