Glad I bought it!

It really, really ROCKS!
I have all of Little Steven's recordings, and while they all 'Rock', this one is really on a whole other level pof listening enjoyment! All of the old songs are so richly arranged now, and whoever did the mixing on the board for this did an outstanding job. It was even better than listening to them for the first time! In short, it really, really ROCKS!

Awesome Band - The Mix Is Horrible.
I listened to 'Do Holywood' twice, just to make sure I wasn't missing something the first time around. The talent is there - after all, that's why I bought the CD, after watching their appearance on Jimmy Fallon's Tonight Show. But it was like listening to something recorded in the early-70's, technologically speaking.
Whoever mixed this album did a very poor job at bringing out the bombastic, explosive sound that they produce when playing live. The highs in the mix were mostly missing in action, and the drums were the worst offenders, as it sounded like the drummer was hitting on cardboard boxes. I think it would be wise of the band to go back and re-record this album a few years down the road, as a favor to the fans to set the record straight of what it really could sound like when mixed properly. This band is awesome and deserved a lot better than what this mess reflects.
