Perfect for patching pedals and looper together

Great for soldering work (SMD) or inspection
I needed a better way to do soldering of SMDs because my eyesight isn't as good as it was. This microscope works perfectly. The 10x is just the right combination of magnification and field of view. I tried the 20x and I can see that it is useful for inspecting really tiny areas but for using tools like a soldering iron, I prefer the larger area provided by 10x. The clearance for working under the microscope is brilliant at about 22 cm (~9") and the goose neck light works very well. Although the light intensity is fixed, the goose neck can be easily adjusted to get good contrast and avoid shadows. The power supply is inside the very heavy base and rated for 100-240V AC with an IEC connector (aka kettle lead). Mine came with a power cord with UK connector and an adaptor for Euro sockets.
Optics are clear and bright and easy to adjust. The focus control works very smoothly by moving the whole head up or down.
The only slight drawback I discovered so far is in fact, the great working height. When standing on my workbench the microscope eyepieces are slightly too high for me to use it comfortably while sitting in my normal chair. I need to get myself a cushion or an height-adjustable chair.
