Is that vintage Nak eating tapes?

I have used these belts to repair a number of vintage Naks that liked to eat tapes. The problem was a tired mode selector belt. If one were to press "play", one would hear a slight whirring from the machine; the counter & meters would move, then the machine would stop, leaving some of the tape wrapped around the capstan. Upon removing the cover & observing the machines' behavior the motor that engages play & etc. can be seen to continue running as the belt slips & fails to fully engage "play". The defective belt can be readily changed by removing the bottom as well as the top of the machine. I recommend making a little hook out of a piece of stiff wire to facilitate r&r of the belt. I found this part number in an old belt catalog, it was cited for a fair number of vintage Naks using the "classic" mechanism. This belt is a bit shorter than the original, but has worked well for me. For mature adults, use at your own risk.

A great buy for Holly experts

Holly carb kit was complete arrived promptly & appeared genuine. The kit included no instructions, but this was not a problem for me as I am quite familiar with the Holly 4150 series of carbs. If you are familiar with these carbs, this kit is a compelling value.
