Invicta Men's 2877 II Collection Multi-Function Watch
Apr 20, 2017
Extremely comfortable, you'll forget it on. Super elegant look.
A very nice high contrast, easy to read watch with exceptional value. For my huge 8-1/2" wrist, the dial size is maybe just a tad small for me. It's nearing the smallest case I have in my collection, coming in at 40mm. The multi-link bracelet is one of the most comfortable ones I own. In fact, being a buy/sell watch hoobyist, since I got this watch for a steal, I probably would have sold this one by now if it weren't for the very nice fully polished stainless steel bracelet. Also, because it's Swiss made, and I just love holding onto those. The dial face has a very nice reflective property, showing off its superb understated elegance. And, any time a metal band forms to the watch circumference at the ends, I'm all for it. There's just something about a straight ended metal band that looks cheap to me. I have six Invictas, and this is definitely one of my long-term keepers. Roman numerals, 24 hour subdial, luminous hands, day and date subdials, all-in-all a very nice piece. Please don't be fooled by the rainbow colors you see reflecting off the case in my photo. That's just my tye-dyed t-shirt in the background! LOL

Easier to read than I first imagined. Very comfortable. Looks and works great!
A great looking watch which gets lots of attention. Very comfortable. Reading it quickly took a little time to learn, but it's not difficult. Once learned, although a very quick read is nearly impossible, it doesn't take much effort to read it. Brilliant luminescence. Functioning chronometer. 24 hour dial.

Fantastic looking watch. Chronograph not set to zero. Large heavy piece not for the timid.
1 of 1 found this helpful First, the bad: Upon receipt of this watch, the chronograph seconds and minutes were both not resetting to zero. Fortunately, I've learned how to reset them on most models, and the standard reset methods worked on this one. A novice might need to take it into a repair shop to have it zeroed. Sorry, I won't explain the process here. A watch with an MSRP in this range should already have been set to zero. Who wants a chronograph that sets itself to 8 seconds past zero, and two minutes before zero? Not me! But, that's what I got. I was a bit upset to see that. Even when resetting the chrono second hand, it doesn't exactly line up to 12:00. I had to choose between setting it to one half second before or one half second after 12:00 (I chose before). Also, no plastic crown protector was included, keeping it from running during shipment. It was running when I opened up the box. As a watch enthusiast, I don't like that.
Now, the good: I love the design. My wife even said, "It's sexy!" The cut-cornered square cushioned case is unique and really stands out. The outer side screws that hold the 5-link stainless steel band look like little friction wheels from a Zippo lighter. So does the crown. With my large 8-1/2" wrist, I didn't have to remove any links on the band. I did adjust the two-hole positioner up to the tighter position, though. This watch is big and heavy - exactly the way I like my watches. The dial is large and makes a real statement. The independent second hand located at 6:00 is a nice modern touch. The long thin white arrow-tipped red hand that appears to be a second hand actually is one, but it's for the chronograph, not the clock. So, most all the time, it sits at 12:00 (in my case - not exactly). All the hands (big and small) and the hour markers all light up in the dark pretty well via luminescent coatings. A fixed brushed steel bezel includes a tachymeter. Black on white date at 3:00.
Considering the price and apparent quality, I will overlook the half-second chrono offset and having to reset its zero. Those are the only negative issues, keeping it from receiving a five star rating.
