weight was off
I am just speaking for myself not sure how many others turned out but mine does not weigh right. I tried like 6 different nickels and few other small things that should have certain weight and it was always off. Not sure if batteries have anything to do with it?

Great hobby and thrill for me
2 of 2 found this helpful I am a beginner but me and my son tried it at park and found couple of coins had fun just laughing at the excitement of digging anything. I do have plans to upgrade to a better model next spring so we both can scan. It's exactly what it says it is and does I am going to stick with this brand Garrett myself. Enjoy.
